![]() In this tutorial we’ll be working with PostgreSQL using a GUI called pgAdmin, which is an open source software that is used to connect to and manage PostgreSQL databases. PostgreSQL can be used either through a GUI or using the command line. As a database server its main functionality is to store data securely and return and retrieve data upon request from other software applications. PostgreSQL is an open source object-relational database management system (ORDBMS) that runs on all major operating systems, including but not limited to, Linux, macOS and Windows. Prerequisite tasks: Install PostgreSQL 10 and pgAdmin 4 on your computer. Create queries using the Scripts option. ![]()
